2銆丏efinition and function of PCB gold finger:
Hard Gold PCB refers to a row of equidistant square pads, exposed copper gold plated. Used for board card, LCD connection, motherboard, chassis and other electrical connection pins, because in its copper foil nickel layer and then plated with a thin layer of gold. The gold finger inserts one end of the PCB circuit board into the slot of the connector, uses the connector pin as the exit of the circuit board external connection, makes the welding pad or copper skin contact with the corresponding position of the pin to achieve the purpose of conduction, and on the PCB board this welding pad or copper skin plated with nickel gold, because the shape of the finger is called gold finger. Gold was chosen because of its superior electrical conductivity and antioxidant properties. However, because of the high cost of gold, it is only used in gold finger and other local gold plating.
